Worked at Katerra Construction in New York City where I was closely working with Project Analyst on multiple projects. I am accountable for tracking and monitoring cost data of vendors and sub-contractors with project team to forecast the cost of the project and responsible for analyzing current construction process in order to streamline current tasks. Interning at King Rose Construction in New York City is helping me gain an insight into the construction market of the United States of America. I am closely working with the project manager where I draft change orders for the review and evaluate the progress of tasks against the project schedule and budget. I administer the expenditure, budget and invoices of the sub-contractors in the project and assist project manager in estimating cost and revenue of the project.

Being part of the team of ten students pursuing Construction Engineering and Management at Columbia University, the team travelled to Mumbai, India in order to analyze the current construction market. Meetings were held with firms such as Shapoorji Pallonji Construction, Lodha group, L&T Construction, Relcon Infraprojects Ltd, Turner International and AECOM to learn about their projects.

Working with India’s leading General Contractor on India’s first underground metro rail project in Mumbai for a duration of two months helped me gain hands on experience with the advanced techniques used for the construction of underground metro rail project. My duties included estimating price for concrete, structural steel and shuttering material. I assisted the procurement team in handling delivery log on site and maintaining inventory log of the materials on site.
