I was responsible to gather and analyze the end-to-end requirements of the first phase of GPP implementation to replace the legacy payment engine for international payments. I also created the low level design and functional specification document for creation of a new interface between GPP and the online channel for international payments in the bank. Based on the knowledge gathered from the project I took the initiative of creating a comprehensive Knowledge Repository of functionality of all programmes and applications in the legacy payment engine (payment processing, accounting, posting among others) as applicable after the merger. A new Trickle Poll method was introduced as part of this project which replaced the legacy Batch Polling process.
