Dr Dharmendra Kumar Mishra completed Ph. D. from Banaras Hindu University in 2001, did LL.M from Dr. H. S. Gaur University, Sagar (M.P) in 1994. He has qualified National Eligibility Test conducted by the UGC and State Level Eligibility Test of the State of Haryana in the year 1996. He started his teaching career since April 22, 1998 as Lecturer from St. Andrew's College, Gorakhpur and in that continuation being selected by the UP Higher Education Service Commission, Allahabad, he taught at Maharaj Balwant Singh (Post Graduate) College, Gangapur, Varanasi from Jan. 2001 to Nov.2006. He has joined the Law School of Banaras Hindu University in Nov, 2006 as Reader, designated as Associate Professor and promoted to the post of Professor in 2012. Prof. Mishra was Teacher's Awardee (Post Doctoral Fellow) of the University Grants Commission, New Delhi in the year 2004. He has also been selected by the Bihar State University (Constituent Colleges) Service Commission, Patna and offered to join in the College of Commerce, Patna in 2003. Prof. Mishra specializes in Criminal Law and Law of Torts. He teaches under-graduate as well as post-graduate level - Law of Crimes, Statutory Interpretation and Law & Social Transformation in India and Legal Research and Methodology at Ph.D. and guiding research also. He is acknowledged with teaching pedagogy by completing B.Ed degree course. Prof. Mishra has published number of articles in the Banaras Law Journal and other Journals as well, edited book and contributed Chapters for book. He has participated in several National and International seminars, workshops and symposium and organized one U G C sponsored National Seminar. He is a Life member of All India law teachers' Congress; Indian Society of Gandhian Studies and South Asian Society of Criminology & Victimlogy.
