As a detail-oriented Construction Inspector with a proven track record of success, I have a strong expertise in construction project standards and an unwavering attention to detail. Through diligent plan and engineering reviews, I have consistently brought projects in line with requirements, and I am decisive in highlighting and helping to correct any construction problems with knowledgeable recommendations.With over three years of experience at Doug Dixon & Associates as a Construction/Bridge Inspector, I have honed my skills in reading and interpreting engineering and technical drawings, and assessing construction against plans. I have also conducted field inspections of current construction, warranty inspection and repair projects, and prepared engineering reports, minutes of meeting, filed instruction (FI), Change order (CO), Change directive (CD), RFQ, and maintained tracks and records for material quantity for gravel, asphalt, sheet pile, etc. Coordinating scheduling and discussing details of pending repairs and construction work with staff, contractors, management staff, contractors, utilities, and other agencies has also been a key aspect of my role.In my role as an inspector, I have also inspected and monitored the construction of culverts, sidewalks, curbs, trenchless sewer/watermain replacement, and infrastructure for the City of Toronto, ensuring that work is in compliance with contract documents, drawings, specifications, and standards, the Occupational Health & Safety Act, and other statutes and regulations. I have also inspected materials to ensure that they are of proper quality and in accordance with contract plans, City standards drawings, specifications, and policies, and arranged inspections of on-site sampling and testing.I have attended pre-construction and job site meetings to discuss issues/concerns related to Transportation Infrastructures, liaised with the general public, contractors, consultants, city staff, and other agencies. I have prepared as-built drawings and progress payment certificates, conducted site pre-inspections, and coordinated post-construction audits.In addition to my extensive experience, I hold a Civil Engineering Technician diploma from Seneca College and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Gujarat Technological University. I am also certified in AutoCAD and have a strong understanding of all phases of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
