Project I: Developed immunocompatible 3-D pre-vascularized tissues with capillary networks for disease modelling and regenerative medicine applications. Evaluated immunogenicity and perfusability of the pre-vascularized constructs in vitro and in vivo.Project II: Designed and characterized cardiac-specific ECM scaffolds to study functional maturation of human induced pluripotent stem cell derived cardiomyocytes (hiPSC-CMs). Project III: Engineered a completely biological and acellular dermal matrix (ADM) that closely mimics the ECM composition and architecture of native human reticular dermis. Perfumed compositional evaluation and immunogenicity of the ADM for its application in acute and chronic wound healing.
