Leading the generation and growth of the Telecomms, Transport and Defence sectors on behalf of Capita Technology Solutions

Portfolio Director for Capita's Central Government and Private account portfolio and responsible for a multi-million pound P&L. Other responsibilities include contract management, delivery of BAU services levels, transition and transformation programmes, relationship management , sales and portfolio growth.

Responsible for managing IT transition and transformation programmes for local government institutions and other key accounts within the Capita portfolio.

Managing and directing the external accounts tower of Capita IT&N, I am currently responsible for the customer service, relationship management and growth of our large strategic external clients.

Responsible for taking BT's largest ever leadership training programme from design through to deployment. With a target audience of up to 30,000 managers, and a pan-BT deployment budget of circa £5m, the role was as challenging as it was diverse. As well as traditional programme management responsibilities, the role included responsibility for defining the standard for all future large scale programmes to be built by the new ‘BT Academy’.

Focussed on improving all aspects of the Fibre to the Cabinet (BT Infinity) product, this role incorporated a number of key responsibilities, from product performance, propositions and strategy to the financial planning, volume forecasting and business development of FTTC.

The VRO programme (part of BTO FE’s wider transformation programme) was initiated to reduce unnecessary fault visits and reduce cost to serve for the Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) area of BT Operate’s volume business. The overall target was a cost saving of £2.2m. As programme manager, I actively managed a number of work streams, through robust matrix management and close negotiation with BTO’s internal customers in order to significantly improve diagnostic and remote resolution processes within CPE.In this role I managed to meet and exceed target, saving the business over £5m, against an original target of £2.2m.

Installation of key automated proposal writing software across the firm. Initial estimates on cost savings achieved by the use of this software equal £9million.

Providing proposal and business development support to an internal European client base. Included travel to European and US offices to provide best practice advice on the firms BD and Go/No Go methodologies.
