  My role is to support in the maintenance of the councils vehicle fleet and specific externally owned or hired vehicles and plant which comprises of the following duties; processing of job cards using automated fleet management system Tranman for which I have been appointed project manager, stores and imprest stock management and ordering non stock parts and processing invoices, fuel management using fuel monitoring system Merridale, carry out driving assessments to ensure employees are complying to council stipulations and its insurance policy and minor vehicle repairs. I also maintain the vehicle records and ensure that vehicles are available for service and repairs in accordance with the Operator’s Licence and strict VOSA regulations to ensure vehicles are fit for use.
