My most valuable experience would be my time as an intern at both Seven Days and KLPAC (Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Center). Working for Seven Days in Nagoya enabled me to utilize my Japanese language skills and my social media writing skills as I was in charge of updating their blog. This experience also sparked an interest in working abroad. While my internship with KLPAC consisted mostly of office work, I also received an opportunity to work with children during the summer holiday program and I supported the staff in teaching the students the basics of performing arts. This event allowed me to develop an interest in working in an environment that nurtures children as well. After I carried out some research, a friend recommended working as an Assistant Language Teacher in Japan and that was how my ALT journey began. Now, as I am approaching my 4th year as an ALT, I am looking for more rewarding experiences and encounters which can improve my career and enrich my life.
