In this position, I upgraded and migrated Oracle software applications and databases, using Capture/Replay tools to assess database workload prior to upgrades.My accomplishments included the design and administration of an Oracle database for a web application with in-house and customer facing components.I improved the performance of databases using SQLTXPlain, SQL Tuning Sets, diagnostics and monitoring pack, and ADDM, ASH and AWR reports.I worked closely with Oracle Support personnel in the creation of SR, gathering of reports with Incident Packaging Service of ADRCI, and the deployment of PSU and CPU patches using opatch.I leveraged the use of DataGuard in combination with a fast start failover setup for fault tolerance and disaster recovery.

Oracle software upgrade and database migration from 8i, 9i, 10g through 11g.Capture and Replay for database workload before upgrading to newer version, specifically focus was on expensive sql execution met prior version execution time and plan. Performance tuning using SQLTXPlain, SQL Tuning Sets, diagnostics and monitoring pack, and using ADDM, ASH and AWR reports.Work with Oracle Support by creation of SR, gathering reports with IPS (Incident Packaging Service) of ADRCI (Diag Repo Command Interpreter) tool, Oracle provided PSU and CPU patch application using opatch.Setup and maintain Oracle ASM, and 11g RAC for reisONE database serving production site. DataGuard and fast start failover setup for fault tolerance and disaster recovery. Design and Maintain Oracle Database for in house and customer facing web application. Use of Advance Replication for replicating data from internal to external server.
