I completed a five-month onsite internship in cybersecurity, where I developed key skills in SIEM by monitoring and analyzing security events, supported the SOC with incident response and daily operations, and managed IDS/IPS solutions to detect and prevent threats.I gained valuable knowledge of ISO 27001 security controls and their implementation, enhancing our security posture through best practices and compliance. Additionally, I contributed to the RFP process by reaching out to clients and preparing proposals for cybersecurity tools and services, secured cloud-based environments on GCP, and gained experience with Spring Boot, PGP encryption, and Postman. I worked on enhancing the security posture of our systems through continuous monitoring and improvement of security protocols. My internship also involved collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and ensure compliance with security standards. This hands-on experience has provided me with a solid foundation in cybersecurity and prepared me for future challenges in the field.
