Vice Organizing Chairperson of AMAC Online Amazing Race x Induction Night.

Implemented Robot Operating System (ROS) with a Kinetic Kame distribution in a Linux Ubuntu 16.04 operating system to research and control a Universal Robot 5 (UR5). The robot was controlled using a ROS package called MoveIt. A goal state of the UR5's position was planned and executed in RViz and the joint movements were simulated in Gazebo.Adjusted the posture of the UR5 robot during launching so that it will be spawned in a home or upright position in Gazebo. This was done by adding a ros_control plugin in the URDF file and using a YAML configuration file that publishes the UR5’s joint states to ROS’s ecosystem. Researched about ray tracing using ROS’s OctoMap package so that Automated Waypoint Movement can be implemented to control the UR5 robot. A depth camera (Kinect camera) was also in Gazebo so that it published point cloud data through a ROS topic. The point cloud data, which are coordinates of 3D objects in the x, y and z coordinates can be used to build a 3D map.Researched about SLAM navigation in ROS using a TurtleBot3 and a Duckiebot. Realised the importance of a complete 2D Occupancy Grid Map (OGM) so that the robot does not detect obstacles as a free space.

Worked on 'Green City Engineering Pitch Competition' in a team of 9 people and I handled the design and marketing aspects of this event.Designed marketing contents such as posters, competition briefing and post-event materials (judges and participants certificates) while following a constant 'green-city' theme.Managed to obtain participants from universities all over Malaysia (Nottingham Malaysia, UM, USM, UMP, UTP, UMP and UCSI)
