Don opened his solo law practice in 2007, just after passing the California Bar Exam. Over the course of a decade, Don built a $3M+ practice that started out with him in a tiny, windowless office to a team of half a dozen attorneys and support staff, eventually becoming a seven-consecutive-time recipient of the SuperLawyers Rising Star award. He was recently nominated for General Counsel of the Year by the Orange County Business Journal.Having bootstrapped and successfully sold his first two companies while practicing law, Don has spent more than two decades educating clients and other professionals on navigating the investment regulatory environment, as well as operational business strategies in multiple industries.Don has spoken at over a dozen different conferences, with topics ranging from industries such as law, food & beverage, cryptocurrencies, and business. He was recently chosen to develop AI education courses for the University of California’s Legal Education division - serving California’s legal community, and is a regular contributor to the CEB newsletter.Don is married and has three children. When he's not working, he’s probably on daddy duty or sipping a cuppa of Taiwanese oolong.
