Er. Dhruba Jyoti Baruah is a Civil Engineering graduate from Assam, North Eastern part of India. Among friends he is popular as "Dhrubazaan". He is the Proprietor of DJ Baruah Engineers & Architects, an architectural firm that specializes in Architectural Design, Structural Design, Commercial and Residential Building Planning, and Interior Designing. Besides this he is a life member of the Indian Society of Structural Engineers and an Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers India.In addition to his professional pursuits, Er. Baruah has a passion for photography and music.His friendship with photography began way back to 2007 when he first started photography with a digital camera. Since 2011, He has been comfortably using DSLR cameras and dedicated sticks to Nature and Wildlife Photography. His first significant recognition came in 2012 when he was awarded 1st prize in State Level Nature & Wildlife Photography Competition. His photographs have been shown in several group exhibitions both in and outside of Assam. Some notable group exhibitions he participated are held in Dibrugarh, Tinisukia, Sibsagar, Jorhat, Guwahati, Nagaon, Golaghat in Assam and New Delhi, Kolkata in outside. He has also conducted successful photography workshops in Jorhat, Guwahati, Sivasagar, Bishwanath Chariali, Dibrugarh, etc. He is an independent and self employed person whose area of photography encompasses mainly in Assam & Northeast. He also fond of singing and he do play guitar pretty well.
