During this competition we designed a fully autonmous robot with features such as air purification system, autonomus docking, human safety features and capability to disinfect of any indoor surface using UV-C lamps. We leveraged the ROS navigation along with a plathora of sensors such as 2D lidar, TOF IR, PIR and Camera sensors for the same. We also developed an app featuring joystick control using camera feed, robot tracking & monitoring disinfection coverage Our team was adjudged to be the top design, and was awared US $10,000 for the same. The team has been granted an additional amount of US$ 10,000, by Micron, for developing and manufacturing a prototype. These efforts were a part of Micron Inc's global efforts to combat the spread of the novel corona virus and provide it's employees and the general public with safer workspace environments.
