I’m Dhruv Bhatia, a third-year Software Engineering student at the University of Alberta, passionate about developing innovative software solutions. My journey in tech has been fueled by hands-on experience in a co-op term where I worked as a Software Developer, diving deep into Machine Learning, Data Science, and Natural Language Processing (NLP) with a focus on Named Entity Recognition (NER).Beyond academics, I’m an active member of AlbertaSat, a club contributing to the development of the Ex-Alta 3 satellite as part of the software team, where I primarily code in Rust. This experience has sharpened my problem-solving skills and deepened my understanding of software systems in a real-world context.I also bring leadership experience from my time as a Resident Assistant (RA) from 2023 to 2024, where I guided and supported residents, refining my skills in leadership, conflict resolution, and team management.I’m now seeking new internship opportunities to further expand my expertise and contribute to impactful projects. I’m particularly interested in roles that will allow me to continue growing in areas like software development, data science, and machine learning.
