I am an undergraduate student of Bachelor of Engineering Technology specializing in Mechanical and Manufacturing at Chisholm Institute. Engineers are problem solvers and as an engineering student I seek to be an excellent problem solver. I have always wanted to unravel the working mechanism of all the modern machinery that we have today, and this degree is helping me to achieve my goal and gain a better understanding of their production and mechanism.About my technical skills during this specific course I have gained practical knowledge in the field of lathe machine, CNC machines, Milling, Drilling and I have achieved three types of welding skills that are TIG, MIG and ARC welding. I have also developed skills in software programs such as Solidworks, ABB Robot Studio, Fluidsim (pneumatic and hydraulic), Mastercam. I have also been attentive to the core subjects of Engineering such as Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Engineering mathematics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics and more. I have completed a project on designing a socket spanner using Solidworks software.During my studies and employment, I have developed various employment skills such as Communication, Leadership, Management, Planning, Organizing , Automation and Problem solving and as an Engineering student I have been honing my skills in them as all of them are key aspect in the engineering industry
