On the W-ICEWS project I wrote patterns in BBN's Brandy Pattern Language to identify specific events in news articles. These patterns utilized syntactic rules and required considerations of how certain syntactic constructions can be generalized and condensed into clear and accurate patterns.The DocGraphs project is part of the larger Automatic Indications Detection & Exploitation (AIDE) project. I was part of the team designing and testing an annotation tool that aims to capture the complicated web of semantics and causation throughout a whole document. I also created and maintained the documentation for the DocGraphs tool.In June 2013 I took on additional responsibilities by assisting the annotation team manager. Some of these duties included preparing and assigning annotation batches for my colleagues, tracking annotation progress, and recording inter-annotator agreement scores.

I helped students with materials for their languages classes. I burned CDs, loaned out foreign films, added films to our Quicktime streaming server for students to watch at home, and helped at the front desk. I also scanned articles and books for professors using ReadIris Pro and edited the scans afterward.

I worked at a kiosk selling Rosetta Stone software. I got to know the program fairly well, especially since during the time that I was there, they upgraded from version 2 to version 3. I opened and closed the kiosk by myself and worked alone the whole time.
