Consultant with 7+ years experience in the field of circular economy. I help companies and governments with providing effective actions and strategies on turning waste into value. In this, I focus on the technical side of the circular economy: collection, recycling technologies and the usage of secondary raw materials in new value chains. Sharing this knowledge with my students or any other audience is what I love to do. I'm always excited for new technolgies and relationships to reach the goal of a circular future. Some examples of my work:✨ researching how new hydrometallurgy recycling can be used in circular value chain for critical raw materials;♻️ implementing strategies for sustainable processing the household waste of more than 500.000 households;🎯 organizing and supervising multiple Rapid Impact/Circular Contracting tendering projects in the field of infrastructure and waste management;📣 designing new teaching materials and teaching several courses at the HAN Master Circular Economy.

By laser ablation of a copper rod in a high vacuum, I created bare cationic copper clusters up to the size of Cu60+ and argon-tagged clusters up til size Cu19Ar+. The argon-tagged clusters were studied with the free electron lasers of the FELIX facility in an action spectroscopy experiment. Combining these results with theoretical Density Functional Theory calculations, I determined the structure of several cationic copper clusters. -
