As a Software Engineer at Pearson Lanka, I work on the development of a Microservices Architecture project using java 17, Spring Boot, MySQL, Spring Tool Suite, GIT, Bitbucket, AWS Services, Confluence, STS, IntelliJ, SonarQube, Snyk, Checkmarx, Maven, Hibernate, Sonarlint, Maven, Hibernate, Junit, Mockito, CI/CD, Jenkins, REST, GraphQL, Docker and Terraform. I contribute to the analysis, design, implementation, and testing of the project, ensuring high-quality and scalable software solutions. Also, Participated in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and identifying potential improvements or issues early in the development cycle.I have 3+ years of experience in software engineering, having worked as an Associate Consultant and a Software Engineer at Virtusa before joining Pearson Lanka. There, I was involved in the development and deployment of a revenue forecasting system revamp, which transformed legacy applications into cloud-hosted microservices using Docker, Kubernetes, Azure pipelines, and releases. I also worked as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment and collaborated with teams during daily stand-ups.
