"Project Manager" really means "Jill-of-all-trades-who-gets-things-done". I looked it up. It’s hard to put a definition down here- maybe some examples of where I currently I find myself will serve to illustrate:• Assisting in development of a Project Management department from scratch – everything from establishing protocol for objective prioritization of projects at the strategic level, to the establishment of process documents and forms used within the project itself, to leading meetings, and maintaining accurate project documents• Serving as an administrator for senior-level executives in the execution of projects, primarily to introduce and implement new lines of business within the company• Working as a business analyst, conducting research through hands-on training, vendor assessments and RFP evaluations, end-user interviews, and analysis of data to compile findings reports and recommendations on products, policy, and procedures• Assisting with merger and acquisition activity, primarily related to cultural integration and tactical project management related to systems and process conversions.• Herding catsNo matter what I’m working on today, I am the go-to person for successful execution of projects or processes. I work across the organization on many levels, from entry-level users to senior executives, and I get things done. Period.
