My master's thesis focused on identity changes among European and US-American women who migrated to Egypt. This was accomplished by conducting semi-structured Zoom interviews, resulting in a grade of Distinction. By employing dialogical approaches to concepts of self, transformation, and continuity within migration literature, the exploration of cultural practices offered valuable insights into the selves of the participants.My thesis received a Distinction from the LSE and was published on the university’s website as part of an Honours page.

For my bachelor's thesis, I worked as a volunteer with the beneficiaries of the project and conducted qualitative research, particularly through fieldwork and semi-structured interviews, to investigate how the (formerly) homeless beneficiaries felt empowered by participating in the project.My thesis was awarded a Distinction by the University of Vienna, and the insights were published as part of a publicity campaign by the charity.

Additionally, I worked through CIDT on a farm in the Siwa Oasis for a reporting assignment.

During that time, I traveled the world. I worked as a social intern, joining vulnerable women and children as part of their everyday lives in a hospital and a kindergarten in Kathmandu, Nepal, for three months. I also interned at a hospice and a psychiatric ward in Germany. Moreover, I volunteered at a Caritas emergency shelter and an educational charity with young people who are refugees in Vienna, where I taught school subjects. Additionally, I worked as a shift worker at a plastic factory and in a kindergarten at a Kibbutz in Israel for three months. I crossed the red desert in Australia, lived in a monastery in Myanmar, and explored Cambodia and Thailand. This experience allowed me to gain valuable and novel insights into various and diverse realities, for which I'm deeply grateful.
