As the Executive Director of the Dufferin Board of Trade (DBOT), I have the privilege of connecting with both our local small business leaders, to help them develop and grow their businesses, and with our local political leaders, to ensure the voice of small business is heard. I have earned the Accredited Chamber Executive designation through the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada and was named the 2018 Mentor of the Year by the Dufferin Women in Business. I studied Community Economic Development at the University of Waterloo as well as Business-Marketing and Human Resource Management at St. Clair College. I believe in continuously learning and regularly participate in courses and workshops on management, economic development, and community building. I am a member of several local Economic Development Committees and participate in various community betterment groups.I joined the DBOT team in early 2015 after deciding to relocate to Dufferin to purchase a farm and start tilling the “Hills of Mulmur” with my husband. Together, we are raising about 80 acres of field crops, and two lovely daughters. I am responsible for achieving DBOT’s strategic objectives and managing our operations and community relations, ensuring that the needs of our members and the greater Dufferin business community are well served.
