My experience is in Interior Design and Visual Communications/ Marketing. Starting in the field of interior design, I landed in the visual communications side of the industry by taking my first design position in a large commercial photography studio. I became Design Manager after three years. I worked as a set designer / stylist for a total of 9 years before taking my first step into advertising / marketing for Broyhill Furniture in January 1993. I worked for Broyhill as Director of Photography for just over two years before joining Thomasville Furniture in 1995 as Marketing / Advertising Manager for Upholstery Division. In 1998, I was promoted and managed all Advertising / Marketing for Case Goods and Upholstery. I worked for Thomasville in this capacity and as a consultant (after leaving the company in 1999, signed as consultant / Photography Design), serving Thomasville for a total of 11 years. I worked with several other companies, managing and art directing their photography efforts and in January 2007, opened Diana Parrish Design and Photography. I wanted a studio business to fulfill my desire to have a studio that would operate like no other; with personal involvment from someone experienced in Advertising / Marketing involved in the process.
