Diana Phillips extremely passionate about marine research. She started doing marine research with SCUBAnauts International at 12 years old. Since then, she has attended Capitol Hill Ocean Week, educated congressmen on ocean conservation bills, conducted research on reefs throughout Florida, helped build artificial reefs with Hernando County, lead a two year research project on seagrass beds, restored coral reefs with Mote Marine Laboratories, and El Fundación (the foundation) de Cayos Cochinos in Honduras. She was also one of the first ever high school student to host “The Expert is In” at the Smithsonian Institute Ocean Wing. She currently has her master diver certification, over 250 dives, and experience with technical diving.
