In this role, I work for a program called The Stepping Stone Project (TSSP), which is a collaboration with CAMH and Toronto's five downtown hospitals. TSSP is a transitional housing program that aims to help seniors with complex mental health, physical, and/or cognitive needs to find permanent housing. Clients usually come to TSSP from hospital, having completed their care in hospital but have no where to go upon discharge. This can be for a number of reasons, most common being they are homeless, can no longer live independently, or simply require a higher level of support. As the Mobile Support Worker for TSSP I:- Provide case management services to clients, helping them navigate health and social services- Work with clients to help them secure permanent housing- Assist them in working towards recovery by helping them develop and achieve meaningful goals- Conduct intake assessments and help orient clients to the program- Conduct RAI-CHA assessments, which examine clients' physical and cognitive functioning, IADLs, ADLs, and mental health

• Provided single-session solution-focused counselling to individuals facing various concerns including depression, anxiety, addiction, interpersonal issues, and employment difficulties.

• Provided individual and group counselling to students facing a range of mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, self-esteem issues, and interpersonal difficulties. • Utilized a client-centered, strengths-based approach, as well as, cognitive-behavioural therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy to help students achieve positive changes.• Worked collaboratively with students to explore and identify various issues in their lives, establish goals for change, and create appropriate treatment plans.• Worked with numerous students in high distress or crisis, conducting risk assessments, providing crisis intervention, and establishing appropriate safety plans. • Conducted intake interviews/assessments.• Co-facilitated a therapy group for students with anxiety, social difficulties, and depression, helping students gain new insights into their problems and learn better coping techniques.• As a co-facilitator, I lead mindfulness meditations, provided psychoeducation on management of symptoms, coping skills, and CBT and Mindfulness skills, facilitated group discussions, and managed group dynamics.

• Provided supportive counselling and non-judgmental emotional support to an ethnically and culturally diverse population. • Supported clients facing a range of issues such as mental illness, substance abuse, familial and interpersonal difficulties, settlement issues, and domestic violence.• Completed 5 weeks of training on various topics such as suicide risk assessment and intervention, mental illness, and active listening skills. • Assessed clients’ needs and connected them to appropriate community resources.• Engaged clients in exploring solutions to their concerns.• Trained new volunteers to manage the English distress line. • Provided emotional support and community referrals to seniors experiencing mental health issues, cognitive impairments, and social isolation.

At CMHA, I was a lead coach for a youth program called Rebound Choices. This program was a psychoeducational group that aimed to teach life, communication, and social skills to youth, with an emphasis on substance-use resistance skills. As a lead coach, I cofacilitated group sessions, delivered the curriculum, engaged youth in discussions, and managed group dynamics.

In Costa Rica, I taught english to students in grades 2 to 5, and also to adults in the communityI created an entire english curriculum with stimulating and enjoyable activities to match varying proficiency levels and learning needs.
