I'm a Political Scientist from University of Costa Rica (UCR). Pursuing this degree, I began to venture into NGO's related to: Afro-descendants, Youths and Gender. In this way, both the regional and international scopes were opened, which takes me to almost all Latin America, and some other latitudes, bringing together comprehensive proposals, articulation of purposes and the realization of all these processes in terms of Human Rights. I'm also a Historian from UCR. Alongside my activist path, I completed my Master's Degree in History in 2007, and during that same year, I retired from the Afro-descendant's Latin America and the Caribbean Youth Movement. As an Academic Scholar and Lecturer I had devoted primarily to the University. In 2011, from my Master's Thesis, I published my first book: “Ciudadanía afrocostarricense: el gran escenario comprendido entre 1927 y 1963”; and in that same year, the UCR awarded me with a scholarship to pursue my postgraduate studies in Paris, France. I hold a Doctorate in Contemporary History from the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in 2015, and I'm a full Professor and Researcher at the Humanities School as Member of the History of the Culture's Department at UCR. I co-host the YouTube Channel "Aportes Afrocostarricenses y Diaspóricos" and since 2021, I'm UCR's Director of International Affairs and External Cooperation's Office (OAICE).
