Diana Canant was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, and has lived, worked, and studied in the United Kingdom, the United States and South Africa. She has over 35 years of experience as a facilitator, trainer and tutor, working with adults and children in the private, public, and corporate arenas doing personal proficiency and literacy training, train-the-trainer, learning-to-learn, and personal improvement facilitation, coaching and classes. Diana has a degree in Psychology and is a Certified Traumatologist through the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology/Figley Institute. She has a Master’s Certificate in Global Mental Health: Trauma and Recovery from Harvard Medical School Continuing Education. She has been working in private practice as a accredited Traumatic Incident Reduction Facilitator and Senior Trainer, teaching and presenting as a guest speaker on trauma resolution and related issues in California, South Africa, the U.K., Canada and Haiti. Diana is currently implementing a non-medical, globally accessible, community-based peer co-care program designed to leverage resources and bring about improved community resilience through the healing of trauma.
