Responsible for the supervision of the Financial Services Department staff, including but not limited to providing oversight and direction for all general accounting functions to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Responsiblities include directing and coordinating the accounting activities for payroll; account receivables; account payables; general ledger; budgets; employee retirement plan; workforce development contracts; Government Grants; petty cash; fixed assets; retail accounting, and miscellaneous inventories.In addition responsible for overseeing the completion and management of budgets, audits, reports to government, state, county agencies and other outside funding sources.

Responsible for daily financial management of $100M manufacturer of food service commercial refrigeration, including supervision of all accounting, IT and HR functions. Managed transition agreement to provide accounting functions for separately owned business. Implemented and oversaw processes to assume services formerly provided by UTC/Carrier. Provided financial leadership for corporation and manufacturing facility.

Managed and supervised all aspects of accounting for $145M manufacturer of commercial refrigeration equipment for bottling and foodservice markets. Responsible for balance sheet, monthly closing, SOX 404 compliance, management of capital fund portfolio and fixed assets for three manufacturing facilities.

Provided leadership and supervision to team of 21 employees with seven distinct areas of responsibility. Controlled balance sheet consisting of 1,600 accounts and >$2B reserves. Reported directly to Carrier World Headquarters Controller.

Responsible for projects/initiatives designated by Carrier Corporation World Headquarters Controller.

Supervised all aspects of accounting and provided financial leadership for three manufacturing plants with operating budgets >$40M. Ensured both plants closed their books monthly in a timely and accurate manner within three days. Supervised three accounting clerks. Prepared and presented Refractories annual operating budget of $9M, monthly forecasts and results, and five year plan.

Responsible for daily financial management of $1M manufacturer of optical lenses with three laboratories. Prepared financial statements, business plans, budgets and projections. Prevented bankruptcy by negotiating the sale of one laboratory; refinancing and restructuring remaining labs; and, applied for and received two small business government grants.

Responsible for instruction of Accounting 1 and 2 labs.
