My responsibilities as a Development Engineer include: planning, designing, and developing new products. A large part of my job is to provide design engineering support on products which are either in development or in manufacturing. Products are under my control from Business Analysis phase through Full Market Release. I play an integral role in developing product specifications, test methods, project timelines, manufacturing processes, inspection protocols, test protocols, product reports, FDA submission documents, patent applications, technical files, risk management documents, and production tooling.I am also involved with vendor selection, quality assurance audits, and other miscellaneous quality related activities throughout the product development process.This job requires me to direct the work of one or more technicians, designers, drafters, technologists, and engineers at various points in the PD process.I am the internal point person for Human Factors Engineering work on all projects and plan to acquire more extensive training in this area.
