What started as a temporary opportunity to develop the planning and forecasting reporting function of the most recent Aramark acquisition and to spearhead the integration of this subsidiary into Aramark’s processes and systems, turned into a much broader opportunity for me just a few months in. In June 2022, with only three weeks’ notice, I successfully fulfilled the CFO responsibilities and took over as a leader of 15 finance and accounting professionals. I oversee budget and forecasting, integration, P&L management and cash flow management for Next Level Hospitality services while at the same time driving the largest integration and labor conversion in Aramark’s history. I am proud of the group’s synergistic efforts in achieving these organizational milestones:►Tripled contractual pricing increases by utilizing location-specific labor inflation analysis and capturing client support in the initiative.►Led an integration project valued at over a million dollars and comprising five cross-functional work streams to integrate Next Level into Aramark’s AP, AR, GL, and payroll systems and processes. We converted over 8,000 employees as part of the labor conversion. ►Developed account architectures, budget and forecasting models, and KPIs and expanded the financial unit to support organizational expansion.Collaborating with this second-to-none team, I am confident that we will fulfill Aramark’s mission of sharing a passion for hospitality to “do great things for our people, our partners, our communities, and our planet.”

Assuming accountability for the region, I steered 12 district managers plus a group of seven controllers and a regional finance manager overseeing 50+ health systems across a region with hundreds of millions of dollars in annual revenue.Implementing mitigating steps and negotiating contractual exceptions early into the pandemic resulted in exceeding EBIT and revenue targets by a million dollars. It distinguished us as the only region to beat the plan during COVID. I was once again fortunate to be called upon to assist with one of our most notable retention wins in the Texas market. It came to fruition through the team’s diligent work validating the financial model, sensitivity analysis, and proposals. The outcome was a record-breaking contract worth hundreds of millions of dollars.Identifying the strengths and aspirations of the team, I coached top talent and ensured succession plans by assigning growth-facilitating projects and introducing junior members to senior-level decision-makers. My efforts achieved a 30% promotion rate annually and recognition in a nomination for KPMG’s Executive Leadership Institute for Women.

Ascending the ranks to a director level, I led a team of three senior financial analysts supporting growth and retention teams for Healthcare and Facilities, two lines of business with over a billion dollars in revenue in the US and Canada. I also supervised healthcare cost optimization projects while collaborating with sales, operations, indirect procurement, and supply chain units.I identified competitive gaps in compensation, supply chain, and employee benefits and conceptualized and produced the finance curriculum for the HC sales playbook, a reference tool utilized by over 20 professionals.The team and I augmented existing client contracts to hundreds of millions of dollars by winning new health systems and negotiating a complex risk and reward system based on various KPIs.Leading a cross-functional cost optimization project, I standardized surveys and functional tools for healthcare management services (food, environmental services, facilities management) in collaboration with sales, operations, and field finance groups.

Hard to believe but even as late as 2012 a lot of Aramark field locations were on a DOS-based floppy disk systems. This role was my first foray into cross-functional projects. As a financial reporting subject matter expert, I was tasked with developing the financial business requirements and standards for the newly implemented web-based Global Field and Financials system, I collaborate with IT team on designing enhanced non-transactional reports for tasks such as daily sales and metrics reports, weekly operating reports, and broad use documents for district managers and upper management to evaluate the North American portfolio performance. In addition, I was the finance lead on bringing to life multiple reports in the Performance Management dashboard.

Promoted to a senior role, I provided analysis on internal operations, competitors, and benchmarking through various ad-hoc reports, labor analyses, and budget reconciliation templates for our top revenue-generating client. Devising a testing version of the metrics feasibility Excel tool, I enabled access to Truven analysis of potential savings and partnership opportunities to business development directors.

Establishing a foundation for over a decade of service at Aramark, I stepped into an analyst role supporting Healthcare Clinical Technologies business. Overtime, I expanded into Food and Facilities driving the reporting consolidation efforts and more efficient planning and forecasting processes across the consolidated Healthcare line of business. My foray into VBA based modeling was development of a macro-enhanced new start budget Excel model for the HCT service line. Originating an NVD and purchasing report comprising three years of data, I enabled efficient historical analysis and quicker responses to regional inquiries.
