• Covered the St. Lucie County Commission, which controlled growth and development in one of the nation’s fastest-growing counties. • Helped lead coverage of two hurricanes – Frances and Jeanne – when each passed through the county. • During Frances and Jeanne, my duties included sleeping at the St. Lucie Emergency Operations Center, coordinating with reporters in the field and filing online updates through both storms.
