My career as an award-winning Radio/TV News Anchor & Reporter -- with a side hustle interviewing authors for national media -- blossomed into my current career as a Book Coach, Writer and Publicist. I’ve interviewed thousands of authors, hosted and produced Podcasts and Videos, and conducted Book Reviews for 800 Associated Press Radio Network stations, Martha Stewart Living, XM, BN.com, ABC and CBS TV stations, Earth-2-World Network, LawSchoolPodcaster.com, MBAPodcaster.com, Open Book with Diana Page Jordan and others, including Wasabi Publicity. Over the years, I’ve penned cover stories for Writers Digest, more than a dozen author profiles for The Costco Connection. Other stories landed in anthologies, including three “A Cup of Comfort” anthologies. I’ve ghostwritten books, bios and stories. Other roles include Media Trainer, Speaker, Moderator and Emcee. I’m also a VoiceOver Artist and OnCamera Talent for companies like Wired.MD, Tektronix, AngelVision, InternetJock. As Program Chair of the Willamette Writers Conference in 2010 & 2011, I organized the three-day event with 1,000 attendees, hundreds of agents, writers, film directors & producers - & introduced social media.One of the best pleasures was participating for a decade in -- what one newspaper called – The Hottest Writing Group in Portland with best-selling authors Cheryl Strayed, Chelsea Cain, Chuck Palahniuk, Suzy Vitello Soule, Monica Drake and Lidia Yuknavitch.With my BS in Journalism and Communications as the springboard, my mission is to communicate the truth, while educating, entertaining and inspiring audiences.

All my multi-media experience and talents - writing, TV and Radio appearances, social media - were in use as Executive Director. It worked, as evidenced by the number of visitors increasing more than 250% from the time I arrived, and FaceBook Likes for the museum were up about 110%. The post of the newspaper article on my departure from WWNY-TV to the Jefferson County Historical Society had a reach of 13,000 - far more than any other posts, which were usually around 2,000. I also managed a staff and volunteers, which included hiring/firing, and redesigning the inner systems, so as to be self-sustaining and more efficient.Time is the only element that separates News from History. And, truthful reporting is imperative in both. As so many wise people have paraphrased,"Those who don't know history are destined to repeat it." It was my responsibility to catalyze - out of more than 100,000 artifacts - a lively museum where citizens love to visit. I initiated, conceptualized, and created the Media Through the Ages exhibit, and built the partnerships to highlight forms of communication from an 1800's printing press to present day phones.

Produced BETWEEN THE LINES (a daily 60-second feature) for 8 years with AP Radio Network, then, in 2001, pitched BN.COM to air 8-minute audio interviews on their MEET THE WRITERS page, which was then just the printed interviews. Interviewed authors from Rudy Giuliani and Jimmy Carter, to Chelsea Cain and Chuck Palahniuk, and Gary Vaynerchuk to Brian Tracy.

Traveled to Barcelona, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, and Michigan to interview students, professors and staff, for podcasts, targeting MBA students & promoting programs at MBA schools. Also interviewed students, professors and experts for informational podcasts for MBAPodcaster.com.

Host & produced thirty-minute podcasts for Law School Podcaster, interviewing deans, top experts in the field, and student leaders. Created about ten shows a year.

As Program Manager for the Willamette Writers Conference in Portland in 2010 and 2011, designed the three-day conference. Deadline-conscious management of hundreds of workshop leaders, culled from a field of applicants - editors, authors, movie producers, agents, and others. Introduced Social Media to conference, and selected an expert to attend as many workshops as possible. The two of us Tweeted, posted on Facebook, and blogged, inspiring others to join in. The conferences – with one thousand attendees - went from no social media, to a lively conversation and an active engagement on Twitter, Facebook, and even LinkedIn, in just a few days.
