Barber, J.D., CHE, CWP, is a lawyer, speaker, consultant, educator, author and provides litigation support to hospitality companies nationwide.In addition to her speaking and consulting business, LodgeLaw Consulting, Ms. Barber also teaches Business, Value and You for Georgia State University, in Atlanta, GA (GSU). Ms. Barber is the recipient of the Anthony G. Marshall Hospitality Law Award for 2013, a national award given for her pioneering contributions to hospitality law. Ms. Barber won the 2011 Teaching Excellence Award from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at GSU and was selected as GSU's Study Abroad Program Director of the year for 2011. Ms. Barber is also the recipient of the GSU 2010 Hospitality Faculty of the Year award.Diana is an accomplished author teaming up with Stephen Barth of the University of Houston and HospitalityLawyer.com to publish the 5th Edition of the Hospitality Law textbook in 2017. See link below.Ms. Barber began her law practice as an associate attorney at King & Spalding in Atlanta, GA after graduating cum laude from Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in Macon, GA. She then spent over fourteen years as vice president and associate general counsel for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, LLC.Ms. Barber writes a monthly column for the Georgia Hotel & Lodging Association newsletter (GHLA).Diana Barber is “Of Counsel” with Berman Fink Van Horn, PC, a law firm in Atlanta, Georgia, which is also the general counsel to the GHLA.
