Project ManagerClinical Directors Network 2000 - 2003• Lead and completed an EPA funded Multi-Center Clinical Trial at 14 HRSA-funded community health centers in federal region II. • Developed data collection and tracking forms, supervised the creation of an Access database by a consultant, trained staff at all centers (NJ, PA, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands). • Developed rapport and frequently contacted sites to encourage enrollment, adherence to protocol and timely data collection; supervising two staff members doing home visits for New York City sites, supervised data entry at CDN central office; consulted and met with Project Officers at EPA• Presented results at numerous national meetings and wrote the final report to the EPA. • Lead and completed a March of Dimes Focus groups project to evaluate public knowledge about Genetics and Genetic Testing (GENE Project). • Organized and lead focus groups in English and Spanish, coordinated focus groups in Mandarin and Cantonese, with contractors. • Analyzed data, wrote a publication on the experience and final report to the Sponsor. • Facilitated an evaluation plan for the Washington Heights/ Inwood GENE Coalition using a participatory approach with all community holders. • Organized and participated in meetings with community organizations; interacted with leaders with different points of view and harmonized ideas with a common goal in order to complete a written evaluation plan of what was known and what training was needed to interest community people in genetic screening.
