* Coordinate and implement clinical trials in the divisions of: Vascular Surgery, Bariatric Surgery and Renal Transplants* Perform the same tasks as in previous position in Vascular Surgery, including feasibility analysis and budgeting.* Provide assessments when tasks needs to be performed by Health Care personnel* Create and manage timely submissions to the IRB for Vascular and Bariatrics protocols

• Successfully implemented more than 60 device clinical trials from beginning to end. • Currently handling over a dozen device and drug clinical trials in the division of Vascular Surgery. - Analyze feasibility of the trials according to protocols and services involved- Negotiated budgets and contracts with sponsors in coordination with legal and budget at the clinical trials. - Prepare timely submissions to regulatory boards, such as Institutional Review Board (IRB), and Medicare, and handle all of the Board comments and correspondence. - Coordinate initiation visits, monitoring visits and closing visits. - Coordinate appointments and services to subjects with internal and external vendors- Train all involved personnel in protocol techniques. - Handle monitor, auditor and FDA inspections. - Create internship program, managing interns including matching interns with appropriate projects, supervising their research (data extraction, data entry and data entry controls).

• Lead and completed an EPA funded Multi-Center Clinical Trial at 14 HRSA-funded community health centers in federal region II. • Developed data collection and tracking forms, supervised the creation of an Access database by a consultant, trained staff at all centers (NJ, PA, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands). • Developed rapport and frequently contacted sites to encourage enrollment, adherence to protocol and timely data collection; supervising two staff members doing home visits for New York City sites, supervised data entry at CDN central office; consulted and met with Project Officers at EPA• Presented results at numerous national meetings and wrote the final report to the EPA. • Lead and completed a March of Dimes Focus groups project to evaluate public knowledge about Genetics and Genetic Testing (GENE Project). • Organized and lead focus groups in English and Spanish, coordinated focus groups in Mandarin and Cantonese, with contractors. • Analyzed data, wrote a publication on the experience and final report to the Sponsor. • Facilitated an evaluation plan for the Washington Heights/ Inwood GENE Coalition using a participatory approach with all community holders. • Organized and participated in meetings with community organizations; interacted with leaders with different points of view and harmonized ideas with a common goal in order to complete a written evaluation plan of what was known and what training was needed to interest community people in genetic screening.

• Managed the day-to day operations of Multi-Center Clinical trials in asthma designed by the Asthma clinical research network (NIH funded research). • Supervised five staff members; hired and train staff in asthma testing techniques according to SOPs and certification procedures; budgeting and managing day to day purchases and expenses; presentations at community health organizations to ensure subject referrals; enhanced and tracked recruitment and follow up of subjects to ensure compliance with protocol and recruitment goals; manage contracts and relations with pharmaceutical companies.
