Social entrepreneur, strategist, carer, educator, pioneer for social, emotional & ethical learning - After her husband Lorenzo was diagnosed with younger-onset Alzheimer’s, Diana quickly realized that there were so few resources for her family profile; younger, with kids, with dementia. In 2021 she shifted her vision from urban education to launch a new venture, Lorenzo’s House - a hub of connection, resources and light for younger families navigating dementia of any form. Today Lorenzo’s House empowers over 2000 family members and brings awareness to over 300,000. Lorenzo’s House shifts the narrative and aims to cure isolation, build community and bring dementia justice. Prior to leading Lorenzo’s House, Diana served as co-founder & president of Perspectives Schools for 24 years, scaling the model from 40 students and 2 teachers to 5 schools, 2000+ students and 250 staff. A thought leader and co-creator of the 26 principles of A Disciplined Life - a culture and set of SEL practices. The executive producer of the documentary, I AM FOR PEACE - shedding light on the injustices of gun violence in Chicago. Led external affairs and fundraising efforts, raising over $50M over two decades with her leadership from individuals, corporations, and foundations grants, special events and capital campaign.
