A tidbit and a tiddly wink: Lover of bodies of water, driving with the windows down, passion fruit, peonies, tall trees, and the word "perennial." Committed to a life of service, learning, radical healing, and connecting the human experience across time and culture. A second-generation Vietnamese-American and first-generation university graduate, Diana has a passion for racial equity, restorative/transformative justice principles, whole-person healing, pedagogy, building teams, and leadership. She is a caring relationship cultivator, an organized systems thinker, a dynamic facilitator, a talented event/program designer, and a reflective writer. Upon graduating, Diana taught English, supported the City of Himeji's (Japan) international youth ambassador programs, and consulted for local non-profit organizations in Japan before moving to Washington DC to specialize in program management and [youth] leadership development work. In the future, Diana intends to pursue a Masters in Positive Psych and Organizational Management with focal points on Learning & Human Development to reinforce her facility with holistic leadership theories and provide her the skillset to nurture the next generation of changemakers. Motivated by her own lived experiences with the Model Minority Myth, she also plans to obtain a PhD in Sociology to conduct interdisciplinary research on the relationship between racialized/identity-based attachments and individual/collective change work. With this academic foundation, Diana will continue to do meaningful work alongside social entrepreneurs and public servants as a mentor, thought partner, spiritual counselor, and leadership/management consultant, utilizing a "whole-person systems healing" based framework before one day, making a return to teaching.Her dream career acknowledges her multi-faceted and multi-hyphenate nature, amplifies her innate strengths, empowers her to show up fully and authentically, operates within community, and engages in purposeful impact-driven work with intentional time for restoration, relaxation, recreation, and continuous education for its people.
