CurrentThe Manager position is two-fold: In addition to being directly responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of diverse and multidisciplinary programming for festivals and events at Harbourfront Centre the role will require an ability to manage team members in a fast-paced environment, incorporate existing procedures while improving new processes.The Manager will work with the team to coordinate and/or program all elements required to producefirst class presentations of programmed events. Said activities shall include but not be limited toperformer contract negotiation and creation, budget management, presentation logistics, productiondetails, accounts payable including fees, royalties, invoicing, grant applications and hospitalityrequirements.The Manager will have a strong understanding of local, national, and international arts productionand knowledge of a wide range of musical and performing arts. This position requires creativity andimagination with the ability to assess and make judgments on a variety of performances and determinetheir suitability for Harbourfront Centre events. Extensive interpersonal skills and diplomacy are required when dealing with diverse groups and coordination with other departments and external groups.
