I was born in Newark, New Jersey to a single mother. According to statistics I should be a single mother of 2 to 3 children, living on welfare, with less than a high school level education and be living in poverty.But God provided me with the keys to success (people, work ethic, creativity) and my life has never been the same.As a first generation Ghanaian American college student I graduated from the University of Virginia earning a Dual Bachelors degree in Sociology & Women Gender Studies, with $0 in student loans/debt! I earned +$500k in scholarships including: a full scholarship from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Coca Cola Scholarship. Due to my passion for understanding the global sphere, I traveled to 11 countries within 4 continents for free through my scholarships. My travels span from South Africa to France.I have completed prestigious programs with Google, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America,Morgan Stanley, PwC, Accenture, McKinsey & Company, and J.P. Morgan. Beyond my leadership and community service, I received the Forbes 30 Under 30 Scholar Award, Future of Ghana 30 Under 30 Award, Coca-Cola Scholarship, McKinsey's Women's Impact Award, etc. I am a global keynote speaker with appearances at top conferences/universities around the world i.e Concordia Summit, US Embassy, Georgetown University, University of Virginia, etc.I’ve been featured by BareMinerals, Google, Face2Face Africa, Educative.io, Forbes, Ghana’s 30 under 30, etc. As the founder and lead servant at Black Sisters in STEM, she is on a mission to build the Linkedin for Black college women across the diaspora in STEM. The first of its kind in the world. Diana is preparing the next generation of Black female leaders with culture competency, technical skillset and inclusive leadership skills to meet the demands of the emergent workforce.
