Managed an engineering team of over 20 people involved in the strategic development of the Client Relationship Management product for the Senior Living market by providing guidance in developing generic infrastructure, establishing an agile development mindset, and instilling the importance of predictability and quality in product development Key Achievements:• Launched three products with two native iOS applications. • Organized a Hackathon committee and ran the company’s first successful department wide event focused on expanding unit test coverage for better quality.• Introduced development metrics for better visibility of feature progress. • Aligned the development managers by establishing communication channel to provide potential process changes and challenges.

Promoted to manage several teams of high performers to enhance and establish a cloud based healthcare solution through agile development, prioritization of work and minimizing interruptions to the teams from external factors. Responsibilities included cross functional coordination, product execution and delivery. Increase team productivity by mentoring and guiding individual team members to becoming self-organized and high performers. Key Achievements:• Achieved 99% quality in Connected Wellness and 97% quality in Enterprise CRM by implementing several team challenges to increase quality from 85% in Connected Wellness and 92% in Enterprise CRM. These challenges showed an increase in productivity in the application development team of up to 200%. • Streamlined the development process to increase predictability and productivity up to 50% by removing redundancy and incorporating the Product Manager and the Usability into the team. This allowed for teams to design in sprint and avoid cycles of redesign due to development team indicating technical constraints after reviewing it. • Successfully rolled out a major release of our first cloud based healthcare solution, Connected Wellness. Major clients that are using our solution include Sunnybrook Hospital, York University, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Leduc Beaumont Devon Primary Care Network.

Managed and coordinated application development teams totaling over 20 developers to deliver on time for two different verticals, two different products in one release cycle. Responsibilities included dealing with team dependencies, technical risk, and functional priorities within each team, providing one-on-one mentorship for developers and training up developers to perform code reviews and write technical designs. Key Achievements:• Provided code review process and introduced design patterns to junior health development team so that features were finished with higher quality pass rates and was extensible for future requirements. The quality of features went from 93.3% to 97% with 40% less bugs in the first pass of feature development. Most of the metrics were non-existence until processes were introduced to capture metrics, allowing teams for self-awareness and brought attention to detail and understanding of requirements. • Stepped in to handle critical issues for a client by reviewing the business workflow and to identify gaps within it. Provided low risk impact changes that bridge between our technology and the clients workflow differences in the short term. Then recommended functional changes based on the client requirement to our solution for the long term. Handled over 20 issues with two developers in three weeks and educated the client on their requirement needs therefore gaining the trust of the client.

Developed key product features for NexJ’s Enterprise CRM solution. Responsibilities included code reviews, training new hires and coops, providing guidance and suggestions across development teams to address escalated issues and dependencies. Managed 1-2 scrum teams for one full release and incorporated agile methodologies for the first time in the company and acted as scrum master.Key Achievements:I was assigned and managed 5 teams of 4 people project that was under an aggressive timeline. The project consisted of upgrading a client from an old release to a new one and fix over 300 bugs in the process, all in a span of 2 months. This project provided me the opportunity to show management skills and the capability to get things done in high pressure environments. I was able to co-ordinate the activities of all 5 teams as well as code review all the code that went into the project as well as develop. I drove daily stand ups and meeting with BAs and provided status to VPs on the project.

Worked with architects and product management to develop a number product features over the course of three releases. Built Service Level Management, a key differentiator for Contact Management. Key Achievements:• Implemented features for the Wells Fargo project which enabled NexJ Systems to deliver integrated CRM functionality and go live with 20,000 users on Wells Fargo’s existing platform and currently has 35,000 user licenses with NexJ.

Independent developer that revised and re-coded an old application so that it would be compliant with new models of smartphones. Used the data that was collected from the application, created another application that allowed for configuration of graphs generated given the data points and also created an Emergency Recovery feature to reload all information into a new unit if the old units have been damaged.

Worked with several psychologists and designed an entire system using the Palm Treo to gather population data for a research paper. Responsibilities included technical design on the application, how the data was retrieved, setting up the data for analysis and tutorial of the program.
