Since 1997, I've supported the Finance Team at the Virginia Lottery in the Payroll Department; providing payroll operations and timekeeping management, accounting and leadership skills to promote a sound and confidential environment and accurate employee records. In addition, I served as Corporate Social Responsibility Team Leader for the Virginia Lottery from 2012 to 2017. My main focus was to promote employee volunteerism. In 2012, I met the requirements of the Certification Board of the American Payroll Association and was awarded designation of Certified Payroll Professional (CPP). I have 30 years of accounting/payroll experience. My free time is spent with my husband along with making wreaths and flower arrangements.

  Manage the payroll operations to ensure multiple processes are sucessfully completed. Work closely with financial colleagues in respect to the accuracy and completeness of payroll accounts for the fiscal year. Process semi monthly payrolls incorporating salary wage payments, other earnings, and deductions, including various incentive payments, garnishments, employee benefits and other voluntary deductions.Manage timekeeping records to ensure accurate leave liability. Periodically reconcile payroll wages for reporting to regulatory agencies and upper management. Serve as team lead and liaison with HR to test, audit and implement system updates.Remain abreast of developments in the payroll field by pursuing a program of self-development, participating in professional organizations, interacting with peers, reviewing pertinent literature, etc.
