    At Amoil I was responsible for invoicing international and local clients (in SAR&$). Often substantial amounts of money. Checking of Creditors invoices. As a junior trader I was in charge of negotiating Marine fuel/ diesel and gasoil prices in dollars, with Suppliers ie. Engen, Shell, Caltex, BP, Castrol etc. (both local and international). After getting a good price I would then offer/quote our client and if the client accepted and confirmed the offer, I would then email/fax through our confirmation and send a nomination to our Supplier to close the deal. Then I would capture the deal/information on our date base.Regarding Forward Exchange Contracts, I helped obtaining a good exchange rate from Nedbank (Dealers Room), to expedite a deal ie. Buying dollars.I then would have to confirm the deal by sending and receiving a FEC Contract and Bop form to the bank. Prior to obtaining a good exchange from the bank, I had to be absolutely sure that all the information and figures were correct. This meant corresponding with the ships' Agents who were responsible for the vessel i.e ETA, ETD, bunker supply, either by pipe line or by barge) I was responsible for the courier of important documents, both international/ local Bunker prices(oil prices), from the internet as well from Suppliers from South Africa and log it onto our in-house data system for our indication of how the market was doing on that particular day. I also had to update our company website with information regarding oil prices, oil availability in Durban, Cape Town, Richards Bay and Saldhana Bay, Maputo and Mozambique. This information was exchanged with our Head office in Greece for international port details. Another duty was to be in constant contact with our clients and suppliers to ensure smooth supply to our vessels. Typing, filing, emailing/faxing, posting and the ordering and distribution of stationery for the company were also some of my duties
