Learning And Systems Coordinator
Genesis Energy Limited is a New Zealand publicly-listed electricity generation and electricity, natural gas and LPG retailing company. The New Zealand government owns a 51% share of the company. In this role, I am responsible for LMS coordination and administration. I also provide compliance training courses to ensure that employees hold the appropriate competencies aligned to the tasks in their position and Staylive Compliance Matrix. Highlights in this role have included building strong working relationships with a wide range of internal stakeholders including generation site managers, team leads, generation staff, new staff, external contractors and many external training providers. I have also improved the LMS course catalogue by alphabetising lists to make it easier to find courses, adding the location for each account to enhance filtering, and generating reports for managers to display the training status of their team members. This has made the LMS significantly more user-friendly.
People And Culture Coordinator
The purpose of this role was to provide high quality administrative support to the P&C team whilst looking to continually improve our systems, processes, and service delivery to the wider business. In this role, I prepared for and participated in the Genesis Power PTE External Evaluation Review conducted by NZQA, which resulted in final ratings of high level of confidence in educational performance and capability in self-assessment. I was also proactive in preparing for the company-wide system rollout so that I could answer queries from managers and staff, asking PIVOT helpdesk for further information as required and creating reports on request.
Talent And Development Coordinator
This role provided administration and culture support to the Talent and Development team. Working closely with the wider P&C teams, its focus was on coordinating the implementation of the T&D programme of work as aligned to overall P&C strategy.Highlights included creating a competency matrix for the Nova Gas acquisition by developing a competency matrix for discussion and then working through old Nova records to record existing competencies. I then worked with managers to book staff on training courses and updated the competencies once certificates were received.I was also seconded to the Hamilton Property team due to my strong organisational and planning skills. My role was to assist with the set-up of the almost complete, newly-built building, and schedule staff tours. This involved observing all H&S processes on the building site, liaising with builders, contractors, suppliers and staff regarding H&S site inductions, coordinating goods delivery/correct placement in the building and following up on any anomalies. The move was successfully completed over three weekends.Another key achievement was coordinating Play Your Part Zero Harm courses for LPG staff on sites throughout the country. This was a highly-rated, valuable programme which I scheduled regularly in previous years for all staff.
Training Administrator/Coordinator
I provided support services to the Training Design and Delivery team, Programme Managers and the Learning and Solutions Manager to contribute to the successful delivery of training to the business.Key achievements including displaying agility and adaptability when our department was restructured; I successfully juggled two roles, learning the fundamentals of my new role (Training Coordinator) whilst still carrying out the duties of my role at the time (Training Administrator). As part of this, I worked hard to develop good working relationships with various staff, some of whom who were unfamiliar to me and were not happy about the restructure. I also used my excellent planning skills and strong training knowledge to assist the Transition Team Leader in setting up tasks for the new retail induction process. This involved preparing resources and overviews to enable a smooth transition. I also worked through the process of scheduling Gentrack refreshes, and testing, running and saving reports with the Transition Team Leader.Another highlight was developing a “one-stop” spreadsheet by combining information from a number of other spreadsheets so that the Training Manager, trainers, buddies, mentors and call assessors could access the information they required for the class to run smoothly. Results, comments and concerns were also entered by the above, and only accessed via a password given to the relevant parties.
Training Administrator
In this role I delivered support services to the Training team and the Training Manager. My first year in this role was a fixed term maternity leave contract, and I was then offered a permanent role.Key achievements included using my organisational skills and attention to detail during an office move to ensure that the training team had all the equipment it required to hold classes in the alternate building. Once the refurbishment was complete, I assisted with the move back to the old building and ensured that training rooms and training areas were set up again with minimal disruption.I also used my technical acumen and Dreamweaver skills to update our online information centre, which gave our CSRs the knowledge to be able to speak confidently and efficiently assist customers with a wide range of queries. In addition, I added key search words which enabled all users to find information more quickly, and learned how to use HTML coding for creating the pages. As well as this, I built strong relationships based on trust with my fellow administrators whilst training them, as well as the trainers in our team. As part of this, I was frequently trusted with confidential or sensitive information, and my high integrity, discreet approach and sound judgement has ensured that these relationships endure to this day. I also built strong relationships with IT staff and the property team and as a result, these stakeholders always provided me with prompt and willing support.
