Pursuing Personal Interests
CurrentNow a fully retired and quite content ex RMG employee. I am now happily settled into a more leisurely pace of life. I have been taking the opportunity to expand my personal development in my interests and have been enjoying various training opportunities. I am a regular volunteer with a superb charity named PSU (Personal Support Unit) that is based in the Family and Civil Courts in Birmingham supporting litigants in person who are having to deal with court matters alone - helping with the completion of court documentation, providing emotional support in court appearances or simply providing practical help and advice on court procedures. I've also trained as a Samaritans listening volunteer and am now doing voluntary work with a local Citizens Advice office. Between that I'm also fitting in personal interests such as photography, sewing projects and outings to national trust properties or London theatre visits. Far too busy for paid employment these days !
