As Director of Community Relations, I'm responsible for all aspects of public relations, communications, marketing, and admissions at CDIS. My aim is to build and maintain a strong reputation for CDIS within our parent community, the larger expat community in Chengdu, and beyond. I'm involved in most activities at CDIS that focus on parents or other constituents outside the school.

As a member of the Student Services department, my main role was to be an academic adviser to students. This means that I assisted students who were struggling in their courses to identify strengths and weaknesses and develop action plans which led to overall improvement. To achieve this, I gathered information to connect the dots between students, teachers, parents, and admin staff to provide a clearer picture to each group of the individual student's academic profile. Together we worked to give the student the best opportunities for success at CDIS and in the future. I also served as adviser to the budding leaders in the High School Student Council, who serve the student body by holding community-building events throughout the school year. In addition, I assisted the Student Services team with academic testing, college and university information sessions, and other school-wide events.

Manage all aspects of the International Foundation Programme, including: management of staff, management of student affairs, staff recruitment, scheduling of classes, scheduling and facilitating assessments, preparing assessment and award boards, liaising with partner institutions, directing staff and student representative meetings, development of staff, student, and parent handbooks. Other duties include: module leading, assessment development, teaching.
