Responsible for developing, implementing and managing economic development strategies with City department personnel and the business community, and for developing, implementing and managing internal and external communication strategies for the City of Oberlin.

Responsible for: • Assisting the City Manager in developing and implementing economic development marketing strategies• Evaluating and updating the City Communication Plan and implementing communication strategies, including the development of guidelines for City communications, the training of staff and advisement of departmental communication efforts• Providing Human Resources support by assisting in recruitments, onboarding, training, and maintaining and updating files and policies• Leading internal communications efforts• Assisting Human Resources Administrator (HRA) in development, coordination and evaluation of the Employee Wellness Program, including leading the Employee Wellness Committee• Assisting in various administrative functions, including budget development and management, document preparation, records management, purchasing, contract administration and project/event planning/coordination. • Providing support to Civil Service Commission and Oberlin Underground Railroad Center Implementation Team

Responsible for:• Facilitate recruitments; interviews; employee onboarding• Drug-Free Safety Program coordination / certified training• Policy/procedures development and revision• Coordination of various HR functions (FMLA, Worker’s Compensation, records management, wellness programming, etc.)• Provide communications support for the City, including social media management• Budget management / process departmental financial transactions• Special projects management• Ensure EEO compliance in recruitments and bids as the EEO Coordinator• Serve as Secretary of Human Relations Commission; Oberlin Underground Railroad Center Implementation Team; Fire Code Board of Appeals; Climate Action Committee• Provide administrative and clerical support
