I started in Healthcare in 2014. I chose to change my career from Customer Service to Healthcare, and it has been the most rewarding career change. I started with a C.C.A. certification from A.H.I.M.A. but decided H.I.M. was not the path I wanted. After gaining experience in durable medical equipment claims research, I decided to work for Cigna to gain knowledge and insight into insurance companies. I then moved to work for providers again at Southeastern Retina, researching claims. I finally found my true passion and pursued a degree at W.G.U. to obtain a B.A.B.S. in Healthcare Management. I worked my way from Assistant Billing Manager to Billing and Coding Manager. Now, I am venturing out on my own to help the physician-administered medications industry. The collective knowledge I have and am still gaining has been instrumental in my career advancements. I genuinely enjoy what I do; every day confirms I am in the right place, even on tough days.
