Diane Improta is Senior Director of Retirement & Consultant Relations within SEI’s Investment Manager Services division. In this role, Diane provides consultation to clients and prospects regarding opportunities to expand distribution in the defined contribution market. She is also responsible for building and cultivating relationships with institutional retirement plan consultants.

Diane is a Partner and Senior Consultant at Mercer Investment Consulting. She has over 20 years of institutional investment consulting experience working with corporate and not-for-profit plan sponsors. Diane’s primary responsibility is to provide plan sponsors assistance with the strategy, implementation, and execution of their retirement programs.

Member of Rocaton's DC Leadership Team. Providing senior level investment consulting services to corporate (DB and DC) and tax-exempt 403(b) clients. Responsible for new business development in the defined contribution market, development of key messaging, thought leadership and representation of the firm’s tax-exempt /403(b) initiatives including development of collateral, speaking/exhibiting at conferences, and providing 403(b) market expertise to firm and industry. 

Responsible for leadership and growth of the 403(b) investment consulting practice and overall defined contribution business (including 401(k)). Established footprint in higher education arena, primarily consisting of Ivy and Ivy plus 403(b) plans. Successful track record in securing new client relationships - Deemed practice-wide “closer” Created key messaging for new business presentations, client reporting, and DC investment strategy. Provided senior level investment consulting services to corporate and higher education clients (DB and DC). Devised innovative DC measurement solutions for clients including “DC Dashboard”. Demonstrated expertise in relationship management. Developed and coached individuals responsible for DC research, spearheaded initiatives, and coordinated research efforts.Frequent speaker at defined contribution conferences and advisory panels (P&I, Aon Hewitt, CUPA-HR, etc.)Provided senior leadership expertise to clients and peer consultants in defined contribution plan issues and design.Conducted due diligence of investment managers and provided product ratings.
