Reporting to the President and Vice President of Finance and Administration, the Director:Develops Campus Master Plan as a basis for 25 year capital project implementation.Advances design estimates and financial analysis as needed to implement capital projects approved under the Campus Master Plan.Plans, executes, and finalizes projects according to strict deadlines and allocated budgetsDevelops business processes and policies to promote operational efficienciesCollaborates with Campus constituents, to derive solutions developed and approved by consensus in a shared governance institution. Establishes standards for energy conservation, sustainability and environmental impact mitigation. This task requires statistical data collection and analysis, engineering assessments and reporting to support project selection and investment decisions.Manages the work of consultants and contractors, including architects as needed to provide design and engineered documents; from DRB through CDs and permit application documents (specifications, engineering calculations, details, Title 24, ADA, utility coordination, C3 storm water management, etc.). These include architects working on schematic designs and concepts on capital projects ranging from $2M to $40M.Modernizes existing facilities;Procures services of providers including consultants, engineers and local design firms to preparing plans for remodeling, space renovations and retrofits from $250k to $2M. Accomplishments include:• Reprogramming, swing space development, logistical coordination of department relocations and remodeling required to restore the School of Economics and Business Administration to the Moraga Campus• Conversion and retrofit of a 1928 Power Plant into faculty and staff office space• Campus Master Plan completed and adopted by City Council, May, 10, 2017
