The role of technology in education is incredibly important. Not only does technology support dynamic learning communities, but it also helps us track achievement of important standards. It allows us to show our success so we can communicate to others. Technology impacts almost every area in schools, from iPads in our classrooms, laptops for teachers and educational technicians, to the systems we use to run our schools, like PowerSchool.Improving student achievement is very important to me. I have the advantage of having been a classroom teacher. I understand the relationship that student performance and data can have in transforming teaching and learning. Technology allows us to see trends and track performance that influence our instruction.Schools must be able to strike the balance of keeping up to date with the technology systems as well as having people in place to support the technology that is being offered. Technology integration specialists to help busy teachers use technology, as well as technicians to keep the technology we have working are critical to our success!
