Diane, founder of De Space Designs LLC, has a multidisciplinary background spanning over 30 years, in award winning architecture, innovative interior design leadership, and inspired non profit leadership. She is passionate about elevating the human experience through biophilic and evidence-based design, and preserving cultural legacy through inspired storytelling. "My goal is always to deliver the best culturally and contextually relevant space, program or experience, that improves the quality of life for all human beings.Diane designed the award winning YMCA Anthony Bowen, where she also served as District Executive Director, leading strategic business planning, operations, innovative programming, and community capacity building initiatives. Diane draws on her diverse skills to bring integrated, holistic solutions to the space where business and design collide. She enjoys teaching and mentoring and served as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University, Marymount University, and the Art Institute of Washington.Prior to making the entrepreneurial leap to De Space Designs LLC, she held leadership positions as the Principal of Interior Architecture at Leo A Daly, and Partner at GTM architects. As an advocate for underserved populations, in particular women, she volunteers with organizations like A Wider Circle to provide interior design and lifestyle services to these families.Diane, the recipient of over 13 design excellence awards, holds a bachelors of Architecture from Pratt Institute, and an MBA from Baruch college.In her free time, Diane who is a certified yogi, loves exploring exotic natural sites, and world cultures.
